Sometimes when life throws me a curve ball, I try to think of it as a test; as some obstacle thrown in my way just to see how I will react. And when I encounter those moments I try to hear these words: This is a test. This is only a test.
It's a test of time. It's a test of faith. It's a test of life and of love and of taking each day for what it is. It's a test for all of us, to believe that everything will turn out ok; to believe that everything will turn out exactly as it should.
Because it's a test, there is also a secret. There is a key that unlocks the answers. There is a response that will get you full credit. The answer is simple: it's merely to try. To try your best. To try to understand. To try to have faith and have patience and have hope.
To solve the puzzle you just have to put yourself out there. You have to be yourself, you have to go with your gut. You have to be you to find the right way. You have to believe to keep on track.
And of course, there will be moments of doubt, there will be tears and gnashed teeth. And although there may be heartache, there will also be solace. There will be riddles and there will be answers. We will think we are repeating old patterns but we will find new truths. We will be confronted with old demons and we will think differently about solutions. And just because something looks the same, just because a situation seems to rear its same ugly head, doesn't mean it is the same, doesn't mean the end is a forgone conclusion.
The answer is to try and to try again and again. Because in trying new things we may find new happiness. In the belief of things meant to be, we may find new light. In continuing to hope we may be the most surprised.
After all, this is the life.
